Balmain Hair Couture wanted to recreate the modern-day Cleopatra – Cleopatre des temps modernes. The story of a charismatic and intelligent woman that used both qualities to further Egypt’s political aims. To bring this modern-day Cleopatra to life, there is a disconnection in the hair, with different lengths that represent power and potential.

Inspired by the staggering high-rises, roaring streets, and metropolitan slipstream of the busiest neighborhood in New York City, Charlie le Mindu created three iconic looks to capture the rich history and relationship between Manhattan and Paris, evoking the air of "the new Parisian chic" alluded to in Olivier's most recent Men's show. Discover the tools, products, and techniques used and recreate the looks.
